PJA’s Peace and Dialogue work reflects our commitment to the Jewish imperative to pursue peace: at home, in Israel, and throughout the world.  
 
PJA works to build bridges and promote understanding between California's large Jewish and Muslim communities.  Throughout times of tremendous tension, we have facilitated open lines of communication between Muslims and Jews, and have worked to strengthen and improve relations between our communities.  We believe that moderate and progressive Jews and Muslims share much common ground, and that a partnership of Muslims and Jews working to build a better community for all can serve as a powerful counter to the voices of immoderation on all sides.

Our Israel advocacy and education articulates our pro-Israel, pro-peace position.  We work with other organizations – both at home and Israel – working for an end to conflict and toward reconciliation, mutual recognition, and respect between Israelis and Palestinians.  And we educate our community about how we can help those Israelis working to realize the ideals enshrined in Israel’s Declaration of Independence.
