Banquet in the Streets
07/26/2009

4:30 PM
|
Join us for Banquet in the Streets, an opportunity to honor courageous local workers and celebrate fair and just working conditions. While San Francisco hotel workers are the backbone of our world-class tourism industry, management at the HEI Le Meridien and Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf hotels have refused to honor their workers' petition for a fair process to choose a voice on the job. PJA respects the worker-led boycott - In the eyes of Judaism's broad ethical tradition, working conditions at these hotels are not kosher. Rather than hold a banquet inside these establishments, we'll take our celebration to the streets! Wear your banquet best, and come ready for music, dancing, free food and toasting the workers at this family friendly event. Join us for the Banquet!Sunday July 26th, 4:30 - 6:30 pm Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf Hotel, 555 North Point Street, SF
Music and light food provided No charge. Your presence alone is much more valuable! Banquet attire encouraged Click here to RSVP online - list "PJA" as your organization to be a part of the Jewish contingent! For more information: schurch@pjalliance.org or 510-527-8620.
